The production of conventional cotton uses one quarter of the worlds pesticides and these chemicals can have a devastating effect on the health of cotton farmers and their children. According to the World Health Organisation (WHO), 20,000 deaths occur in developing countries each year from pesticide poisoning, many of these are attributed to cotton production.

Organic cotton is different. Organic cotton farmers use natural techniques to fertilise the plants and to protect their crops from pests, and this in turn protects the soil.

Buying organic cotton clothes for your baby and children encourages more farmers to convert to growing organic cotton. Baby clothes made from organic cotton are softer and cosier because the cotton is hand picked. Our ethical baby clothes are designed and made to last and last, so these are baby clothes which will be passed down from baby to baby rather than being disposable - a terrible waste!
